Schedule

Filming schedule:

• Booking D2 for filming- 1 or 2 weeks away 
• The Plans- getting the band into the school to perform our song of choice whilst we get the sound tech to record the sound
• Play round with camera angles to see which suit, this will be the first draft run through 
• When we have decided what camera angles we are using we will make a new cut
• Look over the video and decide weather this is suitable for the beginning of our video
• Whilst this is happening other bits of filming- 2-3 Weeks away

Editing this will be the longest time, cutting creating and finishing everything this will be mainly Chereece's job as she is the editor but more filming will be happening whilst.
 

Final location

The final decision we made for the chorus is the schools drama studio this is because we can youse the facilities to the best of there abilities for example the lighting and the acoustics in the room

Group meetings

We have arranged to have group meetings every week this is because of the decision making in the group. Making it easier to move on from problems and make the filming time easier

Musical recording

How we will record our music?
we will use the dubbing over the music video to clear the vocals and make them crisp, this also helps us with recordings because this makes for a good outro.

Setting four our first scene

we decided to use the school again but use that blacked out drama room because the acoustics are better  also with the stage lights to our advantage also with the mirrors too

the Band

Our group have inculded extra actors and musicians into our group and they are called the plans they are a function band from the ages of 17-19 and they play different types of music and are very new and fresh we are also good friends with them which makes it easier to work with them with times and other things.

The filming

The location for our short piece was based around all of our local school which made it easier to film and also it provided us with all the things we need, with having a lot of differen't scenes it meant a lot of moving around so we had to make the most of our surroundings when we had the chance.

Second Brief

2. Apromotion package for an new film, to include trailer, together with a poster for the film, a magazine front cover.

I chose this as my second option because there is a lot to do with it and you can really make it our own here are some examples of where i would like to go with this brief.

1. The poster to the movie
I like this poster because it is simple easy to make but very effective and it lets your mind play on the story, it makes your mind think why what and how.

organising a Photoshoot

with choosing a digipak we have to arrange a photo shoot with the band to use this digipak and the images we get will also go over into the magazine which we have chosen.b these are some exaple pictures for our magazine

draft shots

our first take of our band we will be using was filmed on there gig night in an inclosed space this means the sound quality was not up to standard but there was some good camera angles and shots taken in the close up and various other shots.

Roles

My roles in our production is:

Camera man< I take all the media shots on the camera and make sure all the camera tech is stable and this also means I decide what camera angles to use with input from other people from the group with myself making the final decisions.

Alslo I am the musical director this means that basically anything musical that goes on in our movie is finalised by me and this is becuase I have the most musical experience and knowledge.

here are some examples of what i have chosen and explaining why i have chose them rather than others:

  This is a music video i really like and they style setting of it with the movements, it is unique and isn't used very often and also fits in very well with my theatre work with the movement included, it would be also very challenging for us. The song is Dont by Ed Sheeran.

My Two Choices For our Project

1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a promo video, we use the choice of; a digipak for the album release and a magazine advertisement for the digipak.
Also to create a magazine advertisement for the digipak

I have chosen this option because I think that using my knowledge with photoshop for the magazine and my groups knowledge with imovie will make us create the best movie possible and will up our grade and make a better product.

2. A promotion package for a new film, to include a trailer, together with two techniques;
A poster for the the film
A film magazine front cover featuring the film.

This is the second choice because of the experince i have had with working with computers and making and producing posters and magazines i think that this choice will also be good for our group to use as well.

The story board

We based our story board around two music videos:
Down by the kooks, we took this video because we liked the short bursts of film for seconds long but we thought they were very effective and unusual.

W also used a song called breeze blocks by Alt j and from this we took the slow motion shots and also the reverse shots which made the performance more diverse
